What is Bio-Energy?

Extracting the explanation from Wikipedia, Bio-energy is renewable energy made available from materials derived from biological sources. Biomass is any organic material which has stored sunlight in the form of chemical energy. As a fuel it may include wood, wood waste, straw, and other crop residues, manure, sugarcane, and many other by-products from a variety of agricultural processes. By 2010, there was 35 GW (47,000,000 hp) of globally installed bio-energy capacity for electricity generation, of which 7 GW (9,400,000 hp) was in the United States.

In its most narrow sense it is a synonym to bio-fuel, which is fuel derived from biological sources. In its broader sense it includes biomass, the biological material used as a bio-fuel, as well as the social, economic, scientific and technical fields associated with using biological sources for energy. This is a common misconception, as bio-energy is the energy extracted from the biomass, as the biomass is the fuel and the bio-energy is the energy contained in the fuel. There is a slight tendency for the word bio-energy to be favoured in Europe compared with bio-fuel in America.

Biomass is ENTRADE’s main power source material. “We typically start our operations with wood pellets, then during operations we mix in more and more available waste. So what we do with that is we dry it down, pelletize it with our equipment, and then we mix in these two different types of waste streams and run our system 24/7 on it, and generate electricity out of it.”

We have different type of generators in accordance to your need. Send us a message to discuss more about our most suitable technology for your business or household interest! http://www.entrade-x.com/technology/
